The Parent/Tot Program is a "mommy & me" program for children who turn two on or before September 1st. A parent must attend with the child. The program is designed to introduce the very young child to the structure and routine of a school day and to encourage a bit of independence and separation from their parents.
After a gradual entrance of a few weeks, where the parent and child are together for the class, the child will go to the classroom while the parent attends a parent discussion group in another room. In the classroom, the children have a short circle time which consists of stories, fingerplays and songs. They have a chance to explore the toys & puzzles and do a simple craft while their parents have the opportunity to meet with other parents and discuss various topics.
